Job Description
Overview:
Aero Star Aviation is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to take on the role of Senior Accountant. Aero Star Aviation is a leading aircraft maintenance company, dedicated to providing aircraft owners/operators with first class service. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the company, including the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and various corporate accounting and finance initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the CFO, Controller, and cross-functional operational teams, and shared services to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the monthly financial close process including journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Help ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information across the platform.
• Collaborate with the financial analysis and reporting team to ensure completeness and accuracy of reports delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
• Process accounts payable/receivable.
• Manage payroll processing and related reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist with special projects, audits, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• A master's degree or CPA certification (or in process) will be an added advantage but not required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of management and US GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with QuickBooks a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
