Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and finance, with proficiency in accounting software and general ledger reconciliation. This role will involve overseeing accounts payable, ensuring compliance with IFRS and SOX regulations, and managing cash flow effectively. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records while providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Duties
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Manage the general ledger, including monthly reconciliations and adjustments.
• Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Process bi-weekly payroll, including collecting missing punches, printing and distributing employee timesheets, confirming employee and manager signatures, inputting PTO/Sick day time off requests, commissions, piece-rate payments, etc.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within a corporate finance environment
• Light Industrial manufacturing knowledge or experience required
• Cost Accounting education is a plus
• General ledger, financial reporting, and accounts payable knowledge and experience required
• Inventory knowledge and experience a plus, but not required.
• Experience and familiarity with California multi jurisdiction sales taxes applied on customer invoices and related sales tax filing and payments on CDTFA website
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP Modules
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Payroll Processing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Quickbooks
• Knowledge with opening and utilizing PDF and other types of electronics files
• Familiarity and experience with AI-assisted automated accounts payable procedures using a 3rd party service
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Team player; willing to embrace changes with new proposed processes and procedures
• Looking to improve efficiency in accounting-related matters
• Comfortable and familiarity with using Microsoft Teams and Zoom for meetings and communications with other employees and outside parties
• Experience and comfort transitioning from paper environment to digital over the next year
