Role DescriptionThe Senior Accountant is responsible for the entire accountant cycle of the company. They will be reporting to the CEO and will be tasked with building the team to support the role. Responsibilities • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, and process documents • Review journal entries to properly account for general ledger • Responsible for monthly accounting close • Responsible for monthly and quarterly analytical review • Compile quarterly financial reporting packages • Prepare or review regulatory reports for the bank • Prepare/review reconciliations for general ledger accounts • Assist in integration and automation of financial applications • Provide information and documents to CPAs • Coordinate and gather support for complex accounting projects and reporting initiatives Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 2+ years' public accounting or 4+ industry • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines • Highly detailed oriented and organized • Proficiency with use of e-mail, Internet, database, process mapping and presentation software • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V-lookups, sum ifs and data manipulation • Maintains confidentiality and complies with privacy legislation Employee Benefits May Include: • Medical Insurance • Paid Sick Leave, Vacation and Holidays Pre-Employment Background CheckAll offers are contingent upon the candidate successfully passing a background check and meeting eligibility requirements for obtaining a military base pass.
