Senior Accountant (Contract)

*Overview* Temp to Hire * Hybrid Role is hybrid. In office at least 2 days per week, but usually 3 (Mon, Tues and Thurs or T/W/T). They are currently on Michigan Ave but will be at North Clark after Labor Day this year. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and a solid understanding of both corporate and governmental accounting practices. *Duties* - Manage cash flow and perform cash management activities to ensure liquidity. - Oversee double entry bookkeeping processes to maintain accurate financial records. - Prepare and analyze corporate accounting reports, including balance sheets and income statements. - Develop budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against these metrics. - Handle accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. - Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. - Utilize financial software for reporting and data management purposes. - Perform account analysis to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy in reporting. - Collaborate with internal teams to support compliance with governmental accounting standards. This person will be responsible for 1 property with 5 buildings. It is relatively complex and all residential. *Experience* - Proven experience in cash management, double entry bookkeeping, corporate accounting, and budgeting. -Property management a definite bonus -Experience with Yardi is a must -Experience with Skyline a bonus, not required - Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles related to accounts receivable and financial analysis. - Proficiency in using various financial software applications for reporting and analysis. - Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus. - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work output. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. #INDFA Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance • Work from home Application Question(s): • Urgent need, Can you start next week? • Are you comfortable with accepting a contract opportunity?
