About the Job
As aSenior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on execution of month-end close processes across multiple client accounts. You’ll be expected to lead client meetings and will be the person the team counts on to deliver clean financials on time, every time. Your ability to process work quickly, accurately, and consistently is what makes you exceptional.

Responsibilities
• Host client-facing review meetings and offer strategic financial guidance
• Execute full-cycle month-end close across multiple client files, from reconciliations to reporting
• Monitor due dates and deliverables using Keeper, ensuring all steps of close are met on schedule
• Maintain clean and consistent general ledgers by coding all transactions in QBO
• Build and update custom client charts of accounts based on Lodestar’s proprietary framework
• Prepare and document all necessary balance sheet reconciliations and support schedules
• Enter and manage journal entries for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, loans, and payroll allocations
• Ensure QBO bank feeds are up-to-date and that all entries have appropriate supporting documentation
Requirements/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 7+ years of accounting experience (multi-client or outsourced accounting preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures
• Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of accounting work with speed and accuracy
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
• Highly organized and consistent in documentation, naming conventions, and workpaper management
• Able to follow detailed SOPs while identifying and flagging areas for potential process improvement
