Senior Accountant - Hybrid - 40 an hr

Job Title:Senior Accountant (Contract) Location:Center City Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite) Duration:3–6 Months (Contract) Hours:37.5 per week About the Role Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization in Center City Philadelphia, is seeking aSenior Accountanton a 3–6 month contract basis. This hybrid opportunity offers the chance to support the accounting and finance team with day-to-day operations, month-end close, and reporting. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to make an immediate impact. Responsibilities • Perform full-cycle accounting duties including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management. • Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal controls. • Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries as needed. • Assist with budget tracking, and variance analysis, • Collaborate with the finance team on process improvements and efficiency initiatives. Qualifications • Required:Hands-on experience withNetSuiteERP. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger processes. • Excellent Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. • Nonprofit accounting experience is aplus, but not required. Additional Details • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. • Hybrid model: Onsite in Center City Philadelphia 2–3 days per week. • Contract length: 3–6 months with potential extension.
