Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant IlI to join ZAM’s Accounting Team. This role will be hybrid working approximately 1 to 2 days weekly depending on business needs at our Playa Vista Office.This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting & Finance. You will lead various aspects of the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes aligned with US GAAP reporting requirements of our legal entities. In this role, you will also be responsible for monitoring and maintenance of effective internal procedures within the organization, assist with external audits, and support management reporting and analysis for the US and Singapore business units of ZAM. This role also oversees the General Ledger, AR, and AP activities of the business.

Salary for this role will range from $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 contingent on experience. 

 Responsibilities

•  Support month end closings and reports in accordance with Tencent procedures.
• Perform general ledger entries, journal entry, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
• Support the preparation of different regulatory and tax filings and audits.
• Responsible for identifying & supporting process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting department.
• Provide direction to other staff members on transaction coding on expenses and cost to ensure proper reporting.
• Prepare and present of financial information or projects to Director of Finance & Accounting
• Back up the team when volume of work requires it.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis.

Qualifications

• Required BA/BS in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience as an Accountant
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, public traded company reporting structure and deadlines
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software 
• Demonstrated history of strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel Skills such as V&H Lookups, Pivot Tables, Macros
• Ideally with experience and proficiency with Intacct, Expensify, and Divvy but will train
• Good understanding of foreign currencies and multiple entities environment 
• Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves can do attitude
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment along with being pro-active and organized
• Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner
