About the Role:
Hi! I’m Ryan, Accounting Manager here at Knighted. As we are growing, we’re looking for someone to add to our culture and join our exceptional team. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to help advance our strategic business development goals. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for helping to ensure the accuracy of our financial statements, including, but not limited to, reconciling accounts, performing month-end financial tasks, and assisting with regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will harbor an innate interest in helping to further the success of the accounting team.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains accounting schedules in accordance with applicable standards and company policy.
• Prepares and records journal entries during month-end close process to ensure proper recording and classification of financial statement transactions.
• Performs month-end financial tasks, including the preparation and analysis of account reconciliations
• Partners with department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity.
• Assists with annual audits, regulatory compliance, and annual budgeting processes, as needed.
• Collaborates cross-functionally and executes special ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Actively participates in team meetings.
• Fosters a cooperative and positive work environment.
Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and expert-level knowledge of financial accounting principles.
• Prioritizes and works well under pressure to meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving, multitasking and information analysis skills.
• Positive, highly adaptable, collaborative, team player, with an entrepreneurial mind set.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• High level of integrity expected.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA designation preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting with progressive advancement.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (including knowledge of pivot tables, v-lookups, and other key analytical techniques) required.
• Working knowledge of Sage/NetSuite preferred.
