Purpose of the Job: The Senior Accounting Mgr or Assistant Director will be responsible for assisting all accounting functions, financial statements, tax, treasury, inventory and compliance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial data. This role will also involve developing and implementing strategic accounting processes and providing key business insights to senior management. Essential Job Duties: • Lead the preparation and analysis of all corporation financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for internal and external reporting to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. • Ensure strict adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements, assist with audits and tax filings, including income tax returns, sales tax, etc. • Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the finance function. • Direct the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Oversee all account reconciliations and the maintenance of accurate financial records. • Conduct in-depth financial data analysis to identify trends. Present strategic insights and recommendations to the executive management team to support business decisions. • Lead the annual budget preparation process and manage financial forecasting activities. Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis. • Assist managing and mentoring a team of junior and senior accountants, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development. • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and subsidiaries to support corporation business objectives. • Perform other duties assigned. Minimum Requirements and Special Attributes: • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent field experience is required. A Master's degree is a plus. • A minimum of 8-10 years of proven experience in accounting is preferred, with at least 3-5 years in a corporation accounting managerial or above role, preferably in a SaaS / technology company, or chain restaurant company. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting software. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with management and other stakeholders. • Exceptional ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights. • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems is highly desirable. • CPA is required. • Bilingual in Chinese is required. • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work efficiently. A proactive, problem-solving and business mindset with a strong potential for the fast growth company. Additional Details: • Hybrid Schedule:onsite 3 days per week from Tuesday to Thursday. The full-time schedule is typically 8 hours per shift, Monday to Friday. • Pay Range:$120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year. • Benefits:401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. • Work Location:In person in New York, NY 10016(Required).
