Senior Application Analyst

What does a successful Senior Application Analyst do at Fiserv:

Come join our Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) team in the modernization project migrating data from the mainframe to the cloud. We have a long term Federal Government contract to develop this and we are just getting started.

What you will do:

• Software programming with experience working directly with internal project managers, business analysts, and other development resources to identify business need and appropriate technical solutions on the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS)
• Participates in and conducts development activities with remote team members
• Conduct design and code walkthroughs with all stakeholders
• Code and test high priority and critical changes utilizing COBOL, JCL, and DB2 in a fast-pace SLA environment
• Meet with project managers to provide daily or weekly project statuses

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Ten+ years of software development engineering experience
• 8-10 years working knowledge in an IBM Mainframe environment and proficient with COBOL, JCL, DB2 and ZOS toolsets
• Strong knowledge of the following: DB2, IDCAMS, SyncSort; File-Master; File Transmission (FTP/NDM); The following would be nice to have: REXX; Endeavor; Clarity; Jira
• 5+ years experience in technical design writing and documentation
