Key Responsibilities
The Analyst/Associate will support the US investment team by working with the primary and co-investment private equity teams, as well as any other investment-related activities that are undertaken over time. The expected split across these groups is: 50% primaries and 50% co-investments. The Analyst/Associate will report to a Vice President on the US investment team.
Principal responsibilities will include:
- Conducting private equity fund investment analysis and research
- Supporting the co-investment team on financial modelling and company analysis
- Assisting with monitoring of existing fund investments
- Completing ad hoc research tasks and responding to client service requests
- Training analysts and new hires (if applicable)
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Financial analysis and valuation modelling experience, built in an investment banking, investment management or consulting environment (1-3 years preferred)
- Understanding of key financial terms and valuation metrics
- Ability to work well in a team
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and judgement
- Strong problem solving and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- PC literacy, in particular detailed working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
