Senior Audit Associate

Our firm is currently looking for a Senior Associate for our Audit and Assurance Department with a minimum of 3 years ofpublic auditingexperience. The position involves plenty of client interaction and preparation of financial statements and workpapers, so strong communication, organization and writing skills are required. Duties & Responsibilities: · Planning audit, review and other assurance engagements · Understanding and documenting internal controls · Preparing workpapers · Analyzing client accounting records and agreements · Performing audit program procedures · Preparing financial statements including all note disclosures · Communicating and following up with clients and team members Qualifications: · 3+ years of public accounting experience. Experience with employee benefit plans and 401(k) plans is beneficial to the position · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Ability to work independently and also within a team · Strong analytical skills · Strong research skills · Experience in managing multiple engagements at the same time · Staying current on all accounting and auditing standards · BS/BA degree in accounting (or equivalent) is required · CPA or CPA candidate preferred · Audit experience with non-profit entities and A-133 is a huge plus · Qualification and experience with government contracts/audits also a huge plus Salary commensurate with experience and can be discussed more in-depth during the interview process. We offer accountants the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week, but you must be able to come into the office as well. We do not offer any 100% remote positions at this time.
