Senior Audit Associate I- Individuals at this level has a minimum of three years’ experience as a staff audit associate, and normally has passed the CPA exam. In this position you are expected to: • Supervise all aspects of the audit engagement including planning, creating, completing and reviewing workpapers, writing audited financial statements and attending client meetings as needed. • Help train and mentor junior staff • Experience abundant growth and the chance for advancement • Know and understand the reasons behind the firm’s policies and procedures. • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff accountants. • Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty. • If assigned primarily to financial statement engagements: 1. Begin to develop a command of GAAP, OCBOA, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations. 2. Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, and common audit procedures and techniques. 3. Assume responsibility for efficiently supervising both audit and non-audit engagements Qualifications and skills · Bachelor’s degree in accounting – Required · CPA license, passed the CPA exam or have requisite hours to sit for exam · 2+ years of relevant experience in public accounting. · Experience auditing not-for-profit and affordable housing entities preferred · Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and QuickBooks · Strong accounting skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines · Ability to adjust schedule as needed to meet deadlines · Authorized to work in the US This position offers: · Competitive salary based on experience · Life Insurance · 401(k) plan · Medical Insurance coverage that includes vision and dental · Opportunity for advancement Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Education: • Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: • audit: 3 years (Required) • public accounting : 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
