Senior Automation Analyst

We are seeking a Sr. Automation Analyst to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
The Sr. Automation Analyst is responsible for identifying and playing a large role in the execution of a wide range of automation projects within the Reporting team. This individual will review the team roadmap and work with the team manager and the team to determine priorities and impact rating for projects.

What you will contribute:

• Design, configure, and develop automated reporting processes with proper clear documentation. Identify and resolve development issues and perform quality assurance audits.
• Business Process Analysis: Actively collaborate with process owner subject matter experts to understand business processes, to evaluate automation opportunities and to design automation solutions. Concurrently identify opportunities to streamline and improve business processes through process or data changes.
• Analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities that may be achieved through changes to processes, data or technology. For technology improvement opportunities, define/document processes and develop solutions using available technologies to automate manual or repetitive work and improve the business processes.
• Design and build reporting automation and scripting to create streamlined processes and efficient report delivery and data management.
• Cross-functional stakeholder for discussions relating to complex improvement projects necessary to achieve company, team, and individual goals. Solicits the correct stakeholders for goals alignment and buy-in.

• Curiosity and drive toward understanding and synthesizing complicated information sources across multiple platforms.
• Creation and maintenance of thorough documentation for reporting processes.

• Active communication with other teams to understand upstream and downstream requirements.
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.

What you bring to Uplight:

• Expertise in:
• Python - Writing and reviewing programs or scripts with Python (other languages a plus).
• SQL (other structured query languages a plus).
• Automated tooling for data transformation and delivery.
• Data manipulation in Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication skills along with skills for documentation and scoping, defining, and managing work.
• Strong independent project management skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Google Analytics proficiency is a plus.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Splunk, Looker, Tableau, or other Business Intelligence tools.
• Experience in the utility industry or other heavily-regulated industries.
• Experience handling personally identifiable information (PII).
• Experience working on remote teams.

Salary Range: $93,000-$102,000 USD
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
