Senior AWS Cloud Architect

As a Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect, you will serve as a subject matter expert for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions. This role focuses on advanced cloud technologies, ensuring compliance, security, performance, and cost-efficiency for applications on unclassified and classified systems. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving, process improvement, and adapting cloud infrastructures to meet increasing demands without compromising performance. This position is for a proposal contract for future expected job positions. Location San Antonio, TX Clearance Requirements TS/SCI Responsibilities • Provide subject matter expertise in cloud-based solutions to align with government technical and business requirements. • Design, implement, and manage cloud architectures, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards. • Analyze, plan, and develop technical requirements and functional models for cloud systems. • Develop and maintain procedures, architectures, and technical documentation for cloud deployments. • Optimize cloud performance and cost-effectiveness while ensuring resource efficiency. • Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS EKS, among other tools. • Support hybrid monolithic deployments using VMs, OVAs, and EC2 instances. • Protect against vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity in cloud environments. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and technical requirements. Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience). Experience: • Minimum of 10 years in web application systems integrations and cloud solutions. • At least 3 years of recent and relevant experience with DoD AWS cloud integrations across Unclassified, Secret, and Top-Secret environments. • Hands-on experience with container platforms like Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and AWS EKS. Certifications: • Must have at least two (2) of the following (or equivalent experience): • AWS Solutions Architect Professional • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional • AWS SysOps Administrator Associate • AWS Advanced Networking Specialty • IAT Level II Certification required. Preferred Skills: • Proficiency with AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, Lambda, and similar technologies. • Advanced understanding of cloud-based security, scalability, and compliance standards.
