Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Azure Cloud/Systems Engineer who will be instrumental in enhancing our cloud operations and advancing the architecture of our customer's cloud-based platforms within the life sciences sector.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and execute robust infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Monitor and refine cloud operations to maintain availability and optimize performance
• Cooperate with interdisciplinary teams to establish cloud architecture and best practices
• Facilitate the transition of existing data applications to a cloud environment
• Diagnose and address issues related to cloud operations efficiently
• Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends to inform our strategic cloud initiatives
• Transition CI/CD Pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub actions

• Demonstrated experience in a Cloud Engineer role or similar with a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services and management tools
• Proficient in establishing cloud security measures and skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation purposes
• Acute problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Proficient in Terraform and experience with DevOps methodologies and tools
• Comprehensive understanding of network and database administration in cloud settings
• Experience with data product platforms, notably Databricks
