Senior Business Analyst

We are currently looking to fill the Contract Sr. Business Analyst role for our client. Position Type: Contract with Possible Hire (Must be able to work for any company-No visa sponsorship) Length: 6 mths-1 yr. Reports To: Manager, Business Analysis Location: Orange, CA Hours of Work: Normal business hours and as needed, and on-call availability as needed. This is a hybrid role, onsite on Wednesdays and every other month for three days. Purpose of Position: The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, writing, reviewing, and maintaining business and technical requirements and related artifacts for healthcare insurance related application development initiatives, while collaborating with team members. This is more a Functional B/A position. They should exhibitsystems thinkingas they work through requirements, typically with the business. Essential Functions: “Intangibles” • This position may ultimately migrate to a Lead Business Analyst role in the future. Correspondingly. Skills associated with coordination and leadership of business analysts are desirable. • The successful candidate can command gatherings of internal stakeholders. Tools and Technology • Competence in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Teams • Experience using software to support and manage the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.) • Experience with Requirement Management Software preferred (e.g. JAMA, Rally, etc.) • Using a vendor SaaS solution, the BA should have cognizance of whether the way the SaaS app works will satisfy business requirements. Work Ethic • Works with a high degree of ownership over one’s responsibilities, deliverables, and respective results • Executes responsibilities with a high level of courtesy, tact, openness, and integrity • Continually develop trust among colleagues and stakeholders Educational Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent required. • At least 5-8 years in a recent senior level Business Analyst role • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience • Relevant professional Business Analysis Certification(s) preferred Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasionally stand and walk. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
