Senior Business Analyst, Product Management

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors LLC has an opening for a Senior Business Analyst, Product Management in New York, NY. 

 The position duties are as follows: The applicant will help in developing a platform for discovering, interpreting, and communicating meaningful patterns in data and how they can affect Schonfeld’s business outcomes. They will utilize product management and analytical skills and a strong foundation in product development, and analytics. Day-to-day job duties include: 

• Developing product roadmaps for the Data Platform, including performing data acquisition, data processing, and data scrubbing, and identifying trends in order to solve business problems in various areas including risk, quantitative trading, accounting, operations and business development; 
• Managing the product development life-cycle from requirements gathering, roadmap development, project management using Agile methodology and product status reporting;  
• Using various datasets by client and help onboard them in an optimal manner onto the platform for consumption by the users;  
• Utilizing data analysis to explore and investigate past performance of various business functions to gain insights, drive business planning, and improve decision making and problem solving;  
• Carrying out enterprise reporting, automation, dashboard development visualization, and data analysis using advanced software tools and programming languages; and 
• Presenting the findings and providing actionable insights. 

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience in any occupation in which experience performing product management and business analysis in fields including risk, trading, accounting, operations and business development, within the financial services industry is gained. Experience must include: 

1. 7 years of experience performing business analysis for developing platforms in electronic trading in equities, futures, or FX,  performing data analysis, data processing, and data acquisition 

1. 5 years of experience working with financial datasets, including performing analysis using programming languages, including Python, Java, or Perl  

1. 5 years of experience using software tools for product management such as JIRA or equivalent 

Part-time telecommuting permitted. Basepay for role expected between $205,000-$218,000/yr. Expected base pay range based on info at time post was generated. Role may be eligible for other forms of comp such as performance bonus & competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for successful candidate TBD based on variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, & experience.
