Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering:
Position Summary
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will serve as akey client-facing liaison, working directly with customers to capture, analyze, and translate their business needs into actionable technical requirements. This role requires not only exceptional interpersonal and consultative skills but alsostrong SQL and relational database expertise—including proficiency with inner and outer joins—to support data-driven decisions and requirements validation. Partnering closely with Software Engineering, Client Services, Sales, and Manufacturing teams, the analyst ensures solutions align with both client objectives and O’Neil’s quality standards.
Compensation and Location
• $95K to $100K base pay, + 10% yearly performance bonus
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering:
• Act as the primary point of contact for client-facing discovery and requirements sessions.
• Develop a deep understanding of client operations, industry-specific challenges, and strategic goals.
• Elicit, document, and validate both business and technical requirements to ensure solutions meet client expectations.
• Maintain clear, ongoing communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements Management & Collaboration:
• Manage and prioritize requirements using Agile/Scrum methodologies and Kanban boards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing) to align on scope, priorities, and timelines.
• Ensure traceability from requirements through testing and delivery.
Data Analysis & Quality Assurance:
• Perform advanced SQL queries—includinginner joins, outer joins, and complex relational operations—to validate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and support decision-making.
• Analyze data for quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Develop QA test plans and conduct both internal testing and client-facing UAT.
• Triage defects and coordinate resolution with the appropriate teams.
Training & Support:
• Deliver client training sessions (train-the-trainer or end-user) to support adoption of O’Neil’s communication products.
• Provide timely production support and maintain strong post-launch relationships with clients.
Documentation & Process Improvement:
• Create functional specifications, workflows, and process documentation.
• Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst, with significant client-facing experience.
• Proven ability to deliver medium-to-large projects through the full SDLC.
• Experience in workflow and business process design, preferably in the print industry.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge & Tools:
• Agile methodology, BPMN, SDLC best practices.
• Jira, Confluence, GitLab, SharePoint, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio).
• Advanced SQL skills including inner joins, outer joins, and relational data modeling.
• Relational database management principles.
• Business process improvement techniques.

• Exceptional client engagement skillswith the ability to build rapport, establish trust, and deeply understand a client’s business model and operational needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Skilled in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder alignment.
• Analytical problem-solving with a focus on database-driven solutions.
• Adaptable to changing client requirements and priorities.
• Skilled in negotiation to balance client and internal stakeholder needs.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and strategic recommendations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
