Senior Certification Engineer

As a Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for conformity assessment of the products in development and in evolution projects, as well as the maintenance of the certificates and managing the relevant conformity assessment activities of the existing products during the whole life cycle of the product.

In order to achieve the compliance and to ensure the market access of our products, you'll work with several internal functions as well as different national and international Certification Bodies. The major focus of this position will be on certificates and Declaration of Conformities.

Job Description

The job is multifaceted and includes the following responsibilities:

• Planning, monitoring and execution of Conformity Assessment activities, managing certification and drafting declarations of conformity, carrying out, monitoring and updating conformity assessment procedures in coordination with different departments.

• Determining project certification scope and specifications such as cost, time and sample requirements, discussing procedures, test methods, test results and variations in devices as necessary to resolve problems.

• Collaborating with and advising project teams and internal test labs about product validation.

• Evaluating conformity of the offer according to product standards or other statutory requirements, directives and market regulations.

• Monitoring changes in the legal framework and communicating internally.

• Coordination with external certification bodies.

资格

Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or similar education with at least 3 years of experience in product certification. Following competencies are expected:

• Knowledge of the interpretation and application of product Standards (beside other IEC/EN 60 898-1 , IEC /EN 6 1008-1 , IEC/EN 6100 9 -1 , IEC60947-2, IEC60947-3, UL1077, UL489, ...) and certification processes.

• Knowledge in application of European Directives (LVD, EMC, RED, RoHS etc.)

• Fluent in English writing and speaking.

• Ability to work independently and self-organized.

• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple projects at the same time.

• Committed to continuous learning and being innovative in problem solving.

• Detail oriented with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
