SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading software company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability. This role will collaborate closely with software development, QA, security, and IT operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments that support our product delivery and innovation.This is a full time permanent role. Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in US. No sponsorship at this time.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Architect, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions (primarily AWS; Azure a plus).
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or TeamCity.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources across environments.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.
• Build and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
• Maintain observability and monitoring stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) and lead incident response efforts.
• Support development teams with cloud-native tooling and automation for testing, deployment, and infrastructure.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing cloud strategy and security insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and help define cloud engineering standards and governance.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering • Deep expertise in AWS (Azure or GCP experience is a plus).
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools like Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, and cloud security principles.
• Experience supporting AI/ML workflows and tools in cloud environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, Terraform Associate)
• Experience with multi-region or multi-cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code tools (e.g,Sentinel).
• Prior experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $140,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
