Title: Senior Cloud/Software Engineer 
Location: Hybrid in San Antonio, TX 
Clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligible)

About this role:

Rackner is seeking a DevSecOps (Container Hardening) SME that will work with the Pipeline Architect and Software Engineering SMEs to ensure that applications that are built using hardened base containers via CI/CD pipelines. Suggests and, in cooperation with the Pipeline Engineers, implements container hardening pipelines that produce hardened base containers, as well as harden existing application containers deployed in a large enterprise environment. The lead will write and optimized Dockerfiles, be comfortable learning the basics of a variety of software languages (Go, Python, Java, C++, .NET, Rust), and have a good understanding of Linux and associated packaging systems.

We are seeking professionals with:

• BS. in Computer Science or Engineering field and 5+ years of experience contributing on a technical team for a software or IT project. OR
• BS. in Information Technology, IT Management, Computer Information Systems, and 7+ years of experience contributing on a technical team for a software or IT project.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II within 30 days of contract award.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Kubernetes or Cloud Native Security Associate at contract award.
• Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist within 90 days of award

Required Experience:

3+ years of experience with:

• Kubernetes, Docker, and the Open Container Initiative
• Cloud Native Computing Foundation projects
• At least two of: Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, or Go
• Continuous Delivery and Deployment Automation
• Unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
• Microservice Architectures
• Cloud Computing
• NIST Risk Management Framework
• General Knowledge of how to use the following technologies to further develop containerized applications and delivery to a containerized platform.

Preferred Qualification:

• MS. in Computer Science or Engineering field and 7+ years of experience contributing on a technical team. OR
• M.S. in IT, ITM, or CIS and 10+ years of experience contributing to a technical team.
• DoD 8570/8140 IASAE Level II at contract award Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist at contract award.
