We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Assistant to join our team and support our Legal and Compliance Officer in various capacities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance and privacy issues, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. This role will involve assisting with legal research, managing projects, corresponding with patients regarding privacy concerns, aiding in policy creation, and implementing technology solutions to support contract management and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and ongoing analysis of compliance and privacy issues to prioritize risks effectively.
• Assist in legal research to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Manage projects related to legal compliance and privacy matters, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
• Correspond with patients regarding privacy concerns, providing clear and concise communication and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Support the Legal and Compliance Officer in the creation of policies related to compliance and privacy, as well as conducting training sessions to educate staff on these policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions aimed at contract management and risk mitigation.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to legal matters and projects.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a legal environment or similar role preferred.
• Strong understanding of compliance and privacy regulations, particularly in healthcare. 
• Spearhead the establishment of operational procedures and protocols in a dynamic start-up setting, navigating through ambiguity to develop streamlined processes from inception.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Experience with project management tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
