Position Overview

Consulting Project Managers deliver transformation projects for strategic Autodesk customers as part of our Enterprise Customer Success Consulting team. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate the execution and completion of all consulting services for our customers. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet customer expectations. Our Project Management team is focused on world-class delivery. Autodesk is a global technology company that creates software products and services for the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, automotive, media and entertainment industries.

You will join our new team based in San Jose, Costa Rica in a hybrid role, reporting to the local PM Manager.

Responsibilities

• You will project manage consulting projects for enterprise customers, including data migration projects, software development projects and software trainings
• Lead internal and external team members to meet project goals
• Maintain communication amongst account team and project team members, lead project review meetings
• Translate project scope and vision into clear goals for the team
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and project control tools using standard PM and PSA software
• Comply with internal reporting standards and practices
• You will perform project plan analysis and evaluate risk and develop risk mitigation plans
• Support sales and business development by writing and/or reviewing proposals, writing scopes of work, and developing delivery estimates and resource requirements for solution
• Develop strong client and stakeholder relationships and maintaining effective communication channels

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience as a project manager, ideally in a professional services or consulting environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
• PMP / PMI qualified or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve project objectives and deliver projects that ultimately go into production within cost/schedule constraints
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team of technical experts, sales, subject matter experts, and other project managers

• Analytical advisor role that requires understanding of the theories and concepts of a discipline and the ability to apply best practices

• Require knowledge and experience such that the incumbent can understand the full range of relevant principles, practices, and practical applications within their discipline
• Solve complex problems of diverse scope by taking a new perspective on existing solutions and applying knowledge of best practices in practical situations
• Use data analysis, judgment, and interpretation to select the right course of action
• Apply creativity in recommending variations in approach
• Connect the dots of assignments to the bigger picture
• May lead projects or key elements within a broader project
• May also have accountability for leading and improving on-going processes
• Build effective relationships with more senior practitioners and peers, and build a network of external peers
• Work independently, with close guidance given at critical points
• May begin to act as a mentor or resource for colleagues with less experience
