Job Description:
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an experienced Senior Content Designer to create new map encounters for the Warcraft Rumble team!
As a designer on our team, you are responsible for advocating for design decisions and driving your designs from concept to completion. As a collaborator, you understand the importance of communication and feedback.
The ideal candidate has experience in game design, strong critical thinking skills and analysis, outstanding people skills, boundless creativity, a strong visual aesthetic, and a passion for playing and analyzing games. We value candidates from a variety of backgrounds and are looking for individuals to help us continue our journey of creating new and exciting experiences for our players.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio will be in Irvine, CA.
What you bring to the table:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Creating fun and engaging PvE content through Map and Boss design.
- Contributing to the PvP seasonal ecosystem with new Maps and Modifiers.
- Designing content features, systems, and mechanics from concept to completion.
- Collaborating with multiple teams, ensuring partners are involved throughout the process.
- Playtesting, sharing, and encouraging feedback from many perspectives.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of game design experience or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent experience.
- Ability to design and implement content from concept to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extra Points
- Design portfolio showing your work and contributions.
- Experience leading or mentoring others.
- Familiarity with Warcraft Rumble and other Warcraft games.
- Experience designing for mobile games

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
