Senior Contracts Manager Job Description
SpecterOps is seeking an experienced senior-level Contracts Manager to own contracts administration, management, and negotiation. The role manages all Agreements, Statements of Work, Task Orders, and vendor onboarding for SpecterOps’s clients. The Contracts Manager will work closely with the Revenue Operations team to support client onboarding for cybersecurity products and services sales. We are a growing, global team of world-class information security talent and are looking for a strong candidate to own and guide our contracts review capability. This position will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer with support from legal counsel.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 base salary annually, commensurate with experience.
Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S. with optional travel quarterly for in person company events and other ad hoc meetings.
Core Responsibilities
- Performs cradle to grave contracts administration/management/negotiation for cybersecurity contracts with minimal supervision.
- Draft and negotiate appropriate terms and conditions for all types of agreements (e.g., Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Agreements, Statements of Work, Task Orders and Evaluation Agreements), in coordination with internal management and legal counsel.
- Ensure contract terms and conditions are in alignment with national and international laws and regulations (i.e. Export Control, Data Processing, Data Importing, Exporting, Privacy, and other relevant standards).
- Evolve the existing contract management program to drive continued improvement by working with team members, process owners, and other stakeholders to communicate the process, identify opportunities to consistently improve the process.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategy / plan to establish a framework to arrive at the most beneficial agreement possible between SpecterOps and the customer in the quickest reasonable timeframe possible.
- Provide direct contract support, review contractual documents to ensure protection of company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure all paperwork is in place to facilitate accurate and expedient billing and Financial Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Law, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Legal, Paralegal, Contract Management
- Ability to identify system and process efficiency enhancements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Must be able to deploy a systematic approach to work, and must have an aptitude for performing work functions in a coherent, timely and well-organized manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with a focus on administration and negotiation of contractual documents
Nice to Haves
- Understanding of information security concepts and familiarization working in a cybersecurity consulting and product organization
- Advanced degrees to include
- Juris Doctor
- Master of Business Administration
- Certifications to include the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM)
- Experience with Salesforce Contracts/Order Management
- Experience with Ironclad
If this position is wildly successful, in one year you will have:
- Identified and hired team members to support the contract cadence of a growing cybersecurity vendor organization
- Identified and implemented at least one technology solution to reduce process tedium and optimize for expediency at a reasonable level of company accepted risk
- Assumed full ownership of the contracts management process and fully integrated with the revenue operations function
