Senior Cost Accountant

SUMMARY: This person is responsible for providing accounting support for all cost accounting, COGS and inventory and collaboration related activities. This person will interface on a daily basis with Manufacturing/ Supply Chain and Accounting teams to ensure integrity of cost, COGS, inventory and collaboration accounting activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform month end close activities related to Collaboration, Cost Accounting and COGS including: journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transfers, excess and obsolescence reserve, variances and analysis and reporting of COGS results
• Develop standard cost updates
• Excess and obsolete inventory reporting and analysis
• Annual site visits to conduct physical inventory count
• Maintains and reconciles perpetual inventory balances
• Partner / Collaboration reporting
• Intercompany elimination and consolidation
• Collaborate with external auditors during the quarterly review, interim and year-end audit
• Ensure processes and procedures related to Cost Accounting and COGS are SOX compliant
• Performs analytics on a regular basis and ad hoc analysis as required
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate accounting operations
   

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: 

• BS/BA degree
• 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience with a public company
• Tier 1 ERP experience required; SAP experience a plus
• Cost Accounting experience a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $98,000 - $140,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.
