As part of the cybersecurity threat intelligence team, you should have a passion for analysis, problem-solving and advising decision makers. This is a multi-functional role that collaborates closely with numerous internal and external stakeholders/partners. This role must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write analytical reports with the intention to influence decision makers. Analysts must be able to maintain a positive attitude and articulate their thoughts in a clear, concise and respectable manner during normal day-to-day business operations and times of increased frustration and stress.
As a cybersecurity threat intelligence analyst, senior, you will...
• Develop and produce intelligence-driven support products that assess risk and analyze data/information to mitigate vulnerabilities to assets, operations, strategy and brand reputation.
• Prepare and present intelligence briefings to management or targeted audiences on a regular basis.
• Ability to utilize all available resources while maintaining proficiency with web-based social media platforms, search tools, productivity applications, and communication technologies.
• Cultivate an expertise in discerning trends and warnings to provide an accurate understanding of present and future threats.
• Assist in identifying threats, exposures, and make proactive recommendations to mitigate confirmed and potential threats.
• Maintain systematic threat assessment, information and records.
• Provide direct support for regional security operations, event security, executive protection and intelligence needs.
• Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders regarding intelligence requirements.
• Monitor national events and incidents; report on potential impact to Starbucks and its vendors.
• Provide travel risk management support such as pre-travel assessments and proactive alerting.
• Use multiple sources to identify and analyze potential risks, business opportunities and/or threats to our corporate critical infrastructure: our employees, customers, reputation, assets and executives.
• Use analytical techniques, tools and tradecraft to mitigate risk and add value to business decisions.
• Identify relevant emerging trends/threats and early warning indicators.
• Conduct regular monitoring of online open-source intelligence, social media platforms, the dark web and vendor tools for known and potential threats to the client, employees, assets, and emerging incidents.
• Collect, assess and organize intelligence and data into relevant, actionable reports.

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience working in an information technology / information security discipline. · 2+ years of additional experience in cybersecurity threat intelligence.
• Deep technical understanding of modern cybersecurity threats.
• Expert level writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong collaboration mindset
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Passionate about cybersecurity and self-driven to become an expert.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make recommendations for action based on that analysis.
• Experience using Generative AI to synthesize information and craft draft deliverables.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GCTI, or others focused on cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or threat actor techniques.

• If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
