Senior Data Analyst

Mudflap serves the $800B trucking industry, the backbone of the U.S. economy. Our market-leading payment products help truckers save thousands of dollars on fuel (their #1 business expense), while providing our fuel stop partners with access to new, hard-to-reach customers. We’re a fast-growing marketplace business looking for a new customer-obsessed teammate to join us on this exciting journey.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for surfacing business-critical insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. You will routinely create and maintain BI dashboards and reports to support decision-making processes. Additionally, you will facilitate the improvement of our reporting data quality.

We are extremely product and customer-centric, and our Data team plays a key role in major company initiatives, as our stakeholders rely heavily on our data insights. This is an opportunity to build at a rapid pace and continue creating an analytics function that allows us to best serve the hundreds of thousands of SMB trucking companies that use our products! 

Expectations (In this role, you will):

• Build and maintain BI dashboards in Metabase and Streamlit
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable SQL
• Advocate for our internal standards in code review
• Contribute to data documentation for our reporting tables 
• Show enthusiasm about sharing and adopting best practices with your team
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders
• Solve analytics problems of large scope and complexity
• Take ownership of your projects from beginning to end

Experience (What we look for):

• Strong SQL coding skills 
• Experience building user-centric BI dashboards
• Experience with or motivation to learn basic Python
• Experience working at a fast-paced startup 
• Flexibility - you understand the needs of a startup
• You're detail-oriented, a fast learner, and scrappy

The salary range for this role is $147,000 - $188,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives.
