You will be part of a wider Analytics team focused on humanizing big data, being a bridge between the technical and operational (market) side of business and to use data in order to align with strategic goals. Get to know the role

• Be the go-to expert for regulatory compliance reporting and data management in Indonesia. 

• This role will enable you to ensure seamless communication and compliance with regulators like OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) and BI (Bank Indonesia), while maintaining the integrity of Grab’s data operations. 

• Create automated solutions, enhance existing processes, and directly influence regulatory compliance outcomes.

The day-to-day activities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot compliance reports for regulatory bodies (e.g., Pusdafil, SLIK OJK, and AML-CFT).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Product Analytics, and Data Engineering, to ensure data quality and alignment with regulatory requirements.

• Respond to ad-hoc data requests from regulators, often under tight deadlines, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

• Represent Grab in external regulatory meetings, audits, and inspections to address data-related queries and provide expert insights.

• Automate reporting processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce turnaround time.

• Support data investigations and corrections related to compliance reporting.

Qualifications

The must-haves

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, supporting regulatory reporting in an industry with strong compliance or regulatory oversight preferred.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.

• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in high-pressure environments.

• Passionate about solving problems – possesses a relentless need for investigation and data exploration.

• Results and detail-oriented, with strong intuitions on how to solve problems creatively and quickly.

Good to have

• Familiarity with Indonesian financial regulations (e.g., BI and OJK) is a strong advantage.

• Knowledge of big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Spark, PySpark) is a plus.
