Senior Data Architect

Netrix Global is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join our Data and Artificial Intelligence team, offering a unique opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic candidate to make an immediate impact. In this role, you will lead the data intelligence team in the development of enterprise-class data solutions for Netrix clients across various industries and be called upon to lead project implementations while growing the technical capabilities of our practice.

• Lead client delivery of data projects by designing and deploying data solutions aligned with leading practices, including design patterns, reference architecture, conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Design architecture for, and implement, production and proof-of-concept data platforms for clients, including:
  • Sustainable, scalable data platform solutions on modern cloud architectures including Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Microsoft Fabric
    
  • Data models using Kimball data model, dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schema design and development
  • HADR implementations for data platforms on Microsoft SQL Server, and discerning between SQL Server VM in Azure, SQL Managed Instance SQL DB and SSAS capabilities
    
  • Machine learning models, large language models, vector databases, and MLOps processes and automation
  • HDFS storage layouts and access controls
• Conduct assessments and consult clients on:
  • Data estate modernization, including current-state assessment and target state roadmap definition in context of data governance, security and quality
  • Data migrations from heterogeneous data sources (ex: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift, REST, structured and unstructured documents) to Azure Data Services storage
    
  • Self-service analytics and data-driven culture development and growth
  • Data architecture defects and performance issue resolution

Netrix Global is a fast-paced environment with high demand for the Data Intelligence team. A successful candidate sets a high standard for their delivery of quality solutions. Listed below are the desired experience and skills demonstrated by a successful candidate.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Mathematics or similar
• 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and conducting assessments 
• 5+ years consulting experience
• 5+ years of experience building Data Warehouses, Data Mart, and Symantec data layers
• Experience working in the cloud and serverless database solutions (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, BigQuery, BigTable, etc.) in combination with any BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, etc.) Azure and Power BI technology experience is strongly preferred
• 5+ years of advanced SQL and database experience (ex. Azure SQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience with data engineering (Azure Data Factory and/or SSIS), data ingestion pipelines, SQL queries, views, procedures, and functions
• 5+ years of experience in advanced SQL development experience: Management of high volume of data, building aggregates, and cubes, tuning complex queries for performance, improving overall data retrieval process, indexing and query plan analysis, and refactoring
• Proficient in relational and NoSQL databases
