Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Visualization SpecialistΒ with advanced skills in analyzing multi-source data to derive actionable insights, develop visualizations, and lead initiatives related to data driven solutions for one of our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contracts. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with analytical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, aligning deliverables with organizational goals, agency requirements, and regulatory standards.

What you will do as a Senior Data Visualization Specialist:

  • Design and build interactive dashboards, geospatial visualizations, and presentations to represent meaningful statistical analyses and trends.
  • Transform complex incident/case data into clear, insightful visual representations for diverse audiences.
  • Develop insightful visual reporting capabilities tailored to stakeholder requirements.
  • Query data sources to generate routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Perform statistical analysis on incident/case information to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Prepare and distribute authoritative incident reports and analyses to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data visualization and reporting needs.
  • Maintain open communication with team members to enhance collaboration and project alignment.
  • Establish and refine processes for data visualization and reporting functions.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation to support new functions in an evolving environment.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen (the nature of our contract requires employees be US citizens).
  • A Top-Secret clearance is required.Β 
  • 10 years of experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and GIS software for geospatial analysis.
  • Experience querying databases and working with tools like SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of data science principles, including statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to create visualizations that simplify complex datasets and convey key insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring innovative problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in federal contracting or government-related projects preferred.
