Senior Database Administrator (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

We are actively searching for a driven Senior Database Administrator with a strong foundation in MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
The preferred candidate will possess some DevOps experience alongside a keen interest in progressing to NoSQL database technologies. The role entails maintaining and upgrading database systems for top performance and dependability while working in partnership with an enthusiastic team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the availability, stability, and performance of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
• Develop and apply database structures, schemas, and configurations
• Oversee backups, restores, and recovery models
• Enhance system performance through index tuning, disk optimization, and other techniques
• Oversee and secure database security including user access and authentication measures
• Coordinate with software developers for seamless database and application integration
• Address troubleshooting and issue resolution related to databases
• Administer automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible to enhance database management
• Employ AWS cloud infrastructure for effective database hosting and management
• Offer technical advice and support to both team members and external clients
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and comply with database best practices and regulation standards

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of DBA experience
• At least 2 years of background in Linux systems
• Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience in utilizing infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible
• Exceptional team and client communication capabilities
• Proficiency in spoken and written English at or above B2 level

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB
• Understanding of CI/CD processes, preferable with Jenkins or GitLab
