Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team and participate in a project for our Client - provider of healthcare solutions.
The main objective of the role is to manage, optimize, and ensure the performance and migration of our client's Oracle databases to AWS solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with performance tuning using Automatic Workload Repository (AWR), migrating Oracle databases from EC2 to AWS RDS for Oracle, scripting this process, planning backup/restore strategies, and suggesting partitioning strategies.
It is a fully remote position offering you the flexibility to work from any location in Poland, whether it's your home or one of our well-equipped offices in Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Warsaw, or Wroclaw.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize database performance using AWR reports
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Implement best practices for database performance and tuning
- Plan and execute the migration of Oracle databases from EC2 to AWS RDS for Oracle
- Develop and maintain migration scripts to ensure a smooth transition
- Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during the migration process
- Design and implement comprehensive backup and restore strategies
- Monitor and maintain backup procedures to ensure data safety
- Regular backup tests and audits are conducted to validate restore capabilities
- Implement partitioning schemes and monitor their effectiveness
- Manage Oracle database installations, configurations, and upgrades
- Monitor database health, performance, and security
- 4+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and administration
- Hands-on experience with AWR for performance tuning and optimization
- Demonstrated experience in migrating Oracle databases from EC2 to AWS RDS for Oracle
- Proficiency in scripting (Shell, PL/SQL, Python, etc.) for database management and automation
- Strong knowledge of backup and restore strategies and tools
- Experience with database partitioning techniques and strategies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
