Senior Developer with functional knowledge in D365 BC

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer with functional knowledge in D365 BC to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify and resolve performance issues in a custom Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central plugin. The ideal candidate will possess an expert understanding of Dynamics NAV and Business Central's architecture and development practices, as well as experience in troubleshooting and enhancing the performance of Business Central applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis and diagnostics to identify performance bottlenecks in the custom Business Central plugin
• Develop and implement efficient solutions to improve the performance and responsiveness of the custom plugin
• Optimise existing codebase for better performance without compromising functionality
• Collaborate with the development, database and infrastructure teams to integrate performance improvements effectively
• Provide recommendations for best practices in Business Central development to avoid future performance issues
• Document performance issues and resolutions clearly for future reference and reporting to stakeholders
• Stay updated with the latest updates and features in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to leverage new tools and techniques for performance enhancement

Requirements

• Knowledge of NAV implementation and end to end implementation
• Experience with NAV interfacing and integration
• Extensive experience with D365 BC/ NAV with old and up to the latest versions specifically with a focus on performance analysis and optimisation
• Broad Dynamics NAV module understanding covering all core modules and additional add-on solutions
• Understanding infrastructure and deployment process
• Strong technical expertise in C/AL and AL programming, and a deep understanding of Business Central's architecture and data structure
• Proficiency in using performance profiling tools and techniques specific to Business Central
• Troubleshooting and Debugging skills
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud deployments of Business Central and understanding of cloud infrastructure impacts on performance
• Familiarity with additional Business Central modules and third-party integrations
• Certified in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional or technical roles
• Beneficial to know Agile and Sure Step methodologies
