Job Description
We are excited to share the opportunity for a Senior Director, Performance Improvement within our Health Transformation Office organization. This executive leads the Value Advisory Services management consulting delivery team. You will align with clients to focus and deliver performance improvement initiatives to address their strategic business problems. You will collaborate with our clients utilizing your expertise in developing and applying a data and evidence based, programmatic approach to identify, focus, address, and achieve excellence in clinical, organizational, and financial outcomes. You will lead the innovative use of technology enabled performance improvement methodologies including Lean Thinking and Six Sigma. The Senior Director, Performance Improvement also participates in assigned business development, relationship management, sales, and in the development of performance improvement consulting offerings and management consulting strategies.

Working Environment
Hybrid or Remote
This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #RemoteQualifications
Basic Qualifications
- At least 14 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
- 10 years relevant professional experience in technology implementation, relationship management, strategic performance improvement consulting work experience or leading value driven projects
- At least 4 years total combined higher education or related work experience
- Clinical or performance improvement experience
- Master's degree
- Six Sigma Black Belt Belt certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Willing to reside in the Kansas City metro area or a virtually approved city
- Ability to travel up to 60%
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
