Title: Embedded Hardware Engineer

Analog Devices has established the AI Solutions Business Unit to deliver AI-enabled products to the vast array of markets we serve. The AI Solutions BU develops products at multiple layers of the technology stack, from AI-enabled software application to deeply embedded AI algorithms. The AI Solutions BU collaborates with our Market BUs to solve problems beyond the reach of pure semiconductor, circuit-level, or architectural innovation.

Build Intelligent Edge HW System. You will collaborate with AI Solutions Product Manager, System Architects, Algorithm Designers, Software and Application Engineers to take high-level system architecture and translate into working design. In collaboration with the rest of AI Solutions team, you will define Intelligent Edge HW platform, including processor, peripherals, interfaces, industrial design (mechanical enclosure). You will hire and supervise sub-contractors as needed. You will participate in making build-in-house vs buy decisions of the whole systems, or it's sub-blocks. You will drive custom HW designs from schematics capture stage all the way through fabrication, bring-up and test. You will oversee transfer of the newly designed Intelligent Edge System from R&D to manufacturing. You will work with Software and Application Engineers to fix bugs and make improvements to the Intelligent Edge System to meet technical requirements and business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSEE degree
  • Proven experience in building Embedded Systems HW.
  • Strong background in Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal circuits.
  • Proven experience in full cycle of PCB development from schematics to bring-up and debug.
  • Experience in HW design and fabrication sub-contractors supervision.
  • Embedded FW programming in C/C++.
  • Hand-on experience with lab equipment.
  • Solid problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.

Desired Skills and Experience.

  • Experience in CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
  • Experience with Linux, FreeRTOS and/or other embedded Operating Systems
  • Experience in FPGA development.
  • Solid understanding of ADC and DAC principles of operation
  • Background in common communication standards Ethernet, USB, WiFi, BLE, 802.15.
