Software Developer - SQL Description

The Citus Health / Brightree / ResMed Senior Software Developer will be responsible for development of the Citus Health Platform working with team of highly skilled Software Development and QA team members.

Highly competent, self-motivated, capable individual who will be working on developing Citus Health Web Applications using Angular Framework working closely in the Agile Tech team.

This is a highly technical and hands-on position that requires significant understanding of various modern Web technologies.

This role also plays key role in establishing the coding standards, code reviews, architecture of the Web Application Development.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with offshore Dev and QA teams
• Strong understanding of the logical and physical database modeling and design concepts.
• Evaluates feasibility and costs of database implementation.
• Architects, installs, and configures database system.
• DBA experience in all facets of database design, installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching, supporting, and upgrading MySQL.
• MySQL replication, Aurora/RDS MySQL, and MySQL backup and recovery strategies
• Monitoring and performance tuning of problem SQLs and databases
• knowledge and experience with MySQL 5.7 and above
• Understand the complex data model of large Enterprise level system.
• Designing and maintaining database tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Strong understanding of database tuning, query tuning, and indexing strategies.
• Solid experience of writing complex database queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Work in a collaborative office environment with other developers, business analysts, and a project management team.
• Work with the development team and implement database policies and processes to ensure data integrity and seamless deployment of application enhancements to testing and production environments.
• Understand the business needs and work with system owners and project managers to develop and implement complex querying and report solutions using datasets available through existing systems and datasets external to the customer unit.
• Ensure that new database code meets standards for readability, reliability, and performance.
• Ensure timely delivery of reports and manage conflicting priorities and customer expectations.
• Research and identify root cause/data issues.
• Provide guidance to team members and research technical issues.
• Lead and mentor team members.
• Work with Technical Operations, Core Development and Program Management during product development cycle to ensure quality.
• Develop advanced troubleshooting procedures for complex technical problem.
• Ability to mentor and work with a diverse group of team members possessing different types and levels of skill sets.
• Handles stressful situations effectively.
• Projects a positive and professional image while developing teamwork skills.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, Master's degree a plus
• 5 + years of hands-on experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora DB.
• Experience with SCM tools - GIT, Bitbucket and project management tool - Jira, Rally.
