Senior Field Service Engineer

Mission statement:

The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems, gas insulated switchgears (GIS), Transformer (TR) and Isolated Phase Bus (IPB) including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements. Senior, Field Service is managing these construction sites for GCB/GIS TR, and IPB.

Your responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the installation, repairing and modification of T&D products on-site with medium to complex work instructions.
• You will support troubleshooting on an emergency basis and follow Hitachi Energy Processes, manuals, instructions, quality standards and HSE standards.
• You will have a customer-focused and solution-oriented approach required.
• You will listen closely to customer requirements and give feedback to the organization to develop new service solutions or opportunities.
• You will have a Level 3 certification.
• You will be self-driven and working under your ownership.
• You will be responsible for ensuring Safety on site and socially competent to lead co-workers on-site.
• You will work on-site within Japan or abroad with travel > 70-80%.

• A degree in electrical or mechanical background and 1 to 3 years of experience in technical for GIS/GCB or TR.
• Certified Level 3 as per Hitachi Energy certification guidelines.
• Proficiency in spoken and read English is preferred.
