Role Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Finance Executive to assist the Finance Director. You will be responsible to handle month-end closing, financial reporting and assist in the smooth running of the finance function within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in month end closing, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with requirements
- Prepare month‐end adjustment journals and monthly schedules as well as reconciliations, confirmation and reconciliation of intercompany balances
- Prepare monthly analysis on the financial results and financial position
- Participate in the annual, quarterly and monthly budgeting and forecasting process
- Work with Account Servicing team/project manager to verify the job completion status and closure, billings, etc
- Liaise with SSC on all financials matters and resolve issues
- Monthly review, follow up and prepare of WIP ageing reports and other ageing reports
- Maintain internal SOX and other controls / processes to ensure compliance with SOX, Internal and External Audit requirements
- Assist the Financial Controller/Assistance Finance Manager with the preparation of statutory year end accounts and tax computation
- Year round liaison with auditors, bankers and tax advisers as well as relevant authorities to ensure the timely finalisation of accounts and filings as appropriate
- Ad hoc financial projects when required
Ideal Skills & Experiences:
- University degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Audit experience in at least medium size firm would be added advantage
- Experience in handling full set accounts and general ledger function
- Strong transactional accounting and system skills
- Exposure to and an effective understanding of principles of Sarbanes Oxley would be an advantage
- Good communicator, both oral and written.
- Well organised and able to manage a busy reporting timetable with multiple deliverables whilst maintaining strong attention to details
- Be able to work independently as well as part a team
- Positive attitude towards problem solving and tight deadlines
