Job Responsibilities :

A Senior Finance Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing financial activities to ensure the efficient and effective use of an organization's resources. He/She provides key financial insights to support management in making informed decisions and achieving financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that financial statements are prepared in accordance with relevant accounting standards, this includes verifying the completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Analyze financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to assess the organization's financial health.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Assist in design and implement internal control systems that prevent fraud and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. This including establishes processes for authorizing and recording financial transactions, segregation of duties and conducting regular reconciliations.
• Monitor and test internal controls to ensure they are effective.
• Prepare monthly income tax provision and annual tax returns, including deferred tax computation.
• Coordinate with local auditors/local tax consultant for audit/financial matters by providing information and responding to queries.
• Implementing and maintaining financial system and software that enhance internal controls and risk management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pre-Requisites :

• A university graduate in accounting and finance and / or a member of a recognized body such as MIA, ACCA, CPA etc.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a related field as Accountant or Senior Finance Executive.
• Prior experience of working in a global environment or audit experience in BIG4 is a definite advantage.
• Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in SAP HANA will be an added advantage.
• Experience in SOX requirement will be an added advantage.
• Independent, self-motivated, pro-active and a team player
• Effective communication skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
