Eaton's Electrical Division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Asheville, NC facility.

Position Overview:

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for reporting and planning the $80M Medium Voltage Controls Assemblies (MVCA) Asheville business within Power Distribution Control Assemblies (PDCA) and supporting the payroll function for the Arden plant. Role responsibilities include forecasting, reactive and proactive analysis of results, and implementation of internal controls. The role provides accounting analysis and support to both finance and non-finance personnel, and will be coordinating cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations. This leader needs to be well versed with corporate financial policy and procedures.

In this function you will:
  • Apply generally accepted accounting principles and techniques in all tasks performed. Point out suspected areas of deviations and non-compliance to management for correction.
  • Responsible for financial analysis and reporting of the MVCA business (ledger 4155) working in conjunction with the Asheville finance team.
  • Financial business partner to MVCA Product Line Manager and Operations Manager Conduct ad hoc analysis as required by Accounting Manager or Controller Submit, process, and review all payroll activities for the business Participate in cross-functional teams as necessary to give a Finance perspective on MVCA projects Review receivables/payables (inter-company and trade).
  • Resolve any out of balance situations with inter-company locations and investigate any aged receivable issues Inventory - Assist with physical inventories and cost roll annually
  • Assist in developing profit plan reviews, analyzes, and evaluates financial data and information for accuracy, consistency, and transparency.
  • Provide strategic guidance based on financial data and maintain integrity of financial reports prepared by the plant Analyze and maintain general ledger accounts to provide insight into plant performance metrics.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and journal entries as well as executing on month end closing procedures. Prepare monthly rolling forecast in conjunction with division guidelines and distribute various weekly/monthly/quarterly reports. Prepare departmental budgeting files in support of the annual Profit Plan process Work collaboratively to propose and implement process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years' work experience in progressive finance/accounting roles
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Skillful in Encore and Khalix for Excel
  • Strong analytical and organization skills Understanding and experience in a US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley environment Knowledge of Eaton computer systems used by accounting is highly preferred. (Oracle financials, QlikView, Vista, Power Bi, Mapics) Strong financial reporting, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Must possess an in-depth understanding of the cost accounting, general accounting, and financial planning and forecasting systems.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieving continuous improvement and total quality in the performance of all assigned duties and around the business.


Position Criteria:
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of or quick ability to learn the company's financial policies and procedure
  • Demonstrated understanding of the workings of the balance sheet, profit and loss, and the inter-relationship between the two.
  • Strong solid knowledge of accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of systems such as payroll, fixed assets, invoicing, order entry, cost improvement and price realization programs.
  • Strong Business acumen
