Nike is undergoing a momentous digital transformation that will allow us to connect our customers with our products, when and where they want them. The digital transformation doesn't stop there. It extends to our Finance organization where we are advancing our data and analytics capabilities, daily. With our streamlined Consumer Construct and in-flight Strategic Enterprise Capabilities (SEC) initiative we are moving away from stale reporting views and towards on-demand dashboards that will provide more timely insights to our Executive Leadership team and other decision makers throughout Nike. Nike's Finance Business Intelligence (FBI) team has recently grown to be able to address this challenge and if you'd like to be a part of this team and transformation, this Senior Financial Analyst role is for you.
We are looking for a well-balanced Finance professional to join the Finance Business Intelligence (FBI) team's Reporting COE. This person won't just focus on providing the data to support month-end processes but will also serve as a partner as the business looks to modernize the presentation and extraction of data, shortening the time to insight. The ideal person for this role is an expert Finance professional grounded in Financial Planning & Analysis with an eye towards the future of reporting. This person is a strong communicator and influencer with an ability to bring people together. Lastly, this person believes in the Nike creed- 'There Is No Finish Line'. No matter the process there is always room for improvement. This person will identify those opportunities and prioritize the vital resources to transform the process.
What will you work on:
- Serve as a key point of contact for Finance team members and provide them with timely and accurate Financial data now but always look for opportunities for improvement including new reporting solutions and process automation
- Become a guide in extracting and summarizing Financial data from source systems including SAP BPC, SAP BW and IBM TM1 and use passion for data to improve methods
- Support implementation and adoption of the SEC project through thoroughly understanding objectives, testing solutions and providing feedback where needed
- Be a role model in the adoption of new technologies that will aid in the modernization of Finance Data & Analytics across the Nike Finance organization
This person will support Finance team and in addition will work closely with other members of the Reporting COE to support Global Finance and the broader FBI organization to up level Finance data and analytics across the Finance organization.
What will you bring:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Finance or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
- 3-4 years of Financial Reporting and/or Financial Planning & Analysis experience
- Proven understanding of Financial Documents and calculation of key metrics
- Proven ability to find opportunities for operational improvement and act upon them
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audiences in a significant way
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA required
- Experience with Power Query and Power Pivot in Excel or Power BI a plus
- Exposure to analytics tools and languages including Tableau, Power BI, COGNOS, Alteryx, SQL, or Python
