Job Description:

As a Senior FP&A Analyst at Skillz, reporting to Will Cheung, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial modeling capacity and providing insights that drive strategic business initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives and strategies.
• Developing and maintaining advanced financial models to translate business strategies into predictive KPIs.
• Utilizing SQL to independently retrieve and analyze complex datasets, providing insights that inform key business decisions.
• Communicating financial analysis and risk areas clearly to upper management, along with actionable recommendations for investment optimization.
• Driving initiatives that promote data-driven decision-making and enhance financial planning capabilities across the organization.
• Managing multiple financial modeling projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Fostering a culture of accountability and proactive problem-solving within your team, encouraging individual growth and development.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of professional experience in investment banking, management consulting, or product FP&A roles, with extensive financial modeling experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data retrieval; experience with Snowflake and Tableau is a plus.
• Familiarity with DCF valuation models and cohort-based modeling, along with the ability to create new financial models in collaboration with business partners.
• A proven track record of success, as evidenced by tangible achievements and promotions within previous roles.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial insights clearly to diverse stakeholders.
