Senior Frontend Developer (React & TypeScript)

We’re seeking aSenior Frontend Developerto lead the design and implementation of our user-facing interfaces. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver world-class experiences. ‍ What You’ll Do: · Architect and build scalable, maintainable frontend applications using React and TypeScript · Lead a small team of frontend engineers: mentor, coach, and drive best practices · Run and participate in rigorous code reviews, ensuring high code quality and consistency · Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into delightful user experiences · Define and enforce frontend standards, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines · Own feature development from conception through production rollout—measure, learn, and iterate ‍ What We’re Looking For: · 7+ years professional experience building complex web applications · Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Babel, ESLint) · Proven track record of leading teams and driving technical decisions at the frontend layer · Strong experience conducting code reviews, establishing style guides, and enforcing quality gates · Hands-on understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and performance optimization · Experience working in an Agile environment, partnering closely with product and design · Excellent communication skills with the ability to champion frontend best practices across teams · Experience working with and maintaining tickets in systems like Jira or ClickUp ‍ Nice-to-Haves: · Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.) · Background with backend technologies (Node.js, GraphQL) · Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) · Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and internationalization · Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts · Experience with Storybook · Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.) · Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) ‍ ‍ About the Role As a Senior Frontend Developer at NYMBL, you will drive the evolution of our customer-facing web applications. You’ll partner with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to build features that are both beautiful and performant. Beyond writing code, you’ll lift the entire frontend team through mentorship and technical leadership. ‍ Key Responsibilities 1. Frontend Architecture & Development a. Design and implement reusable component libraries in React and TypeScript b. Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and SEO c. Establish robust state management and data-fetching strategies ‍ 2. Team Leadership & Mentorship a. Lead a team of 2–4 frontend engineers: set goals, conduct 1:1s, and provide career guidance b. Facilitate technical discussions and drive consensus on best practices c. Host regular code review sessions, ensuring maintainability and readability ‍ 3. Design Collaboration a. Work closely with product designers to translate and faithfully implement Figma designs b. Ensure UI consistency and pixel-perfect fidelity across components ‍ 4. Cross-Functional Product Team Engagement a. Collaborate within a broader product team, aligning frontend efforts with backend, QA, and data teams b. Attend product strategy sessions and contribute to roadmap planning ‍ 5. Product Collaboration a. Translate product requirements and design mockups into high-quality code b. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective ceremonies c. Analyze user feedback and metrics to continuously improve the UI/UX ‍ 6. Process & Standards a. Define and enforce coding standards, tooling configurations, and CI pipelines b. Introduce testing strategies: unit, integration, and e2e tests c.
