Arkestro is seeking enthusiastic go-getter to fill the role of Senior Software Engineer with a specialty in front-end and/or design systems. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a history of working in and contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset are essential, as this individual will be liaising with stakeholders across the organization to align software development initiatives with business priorities. Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in front-end/design engineering or a similar role.
• Proficient in React, JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, NextJS,Storybook, and Figma,.
• Experienced in managing GitHub repositories, particularly those related to design systems.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Capable of working effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with designers to translate Figma designs into high-quality, reusable React components within our NextJS framework.
• Co-manage the Arkestro Design System repository on GitHub, ensuring design consistency and alignment across our platform.
• Manage and evolve design tokens across different platforms and devices, ensuring a harmonious visual language and design scalability.
• Utilize Storybook to document UI components, fostering a shared understanding and cohesive use across teams.
• Work closely with the UX team to rapidly resolve UI/UX issues within the SaaS platform.
• Actively participate in design reviews, providing insightful feedback to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and responsive across various devices and browsers.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends in UI/UX design and front-end development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with FigJam, Google Suite, JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Fellow, and UserTesting.com/Maze.
• A portfolio that highlights your previous design projects.
