Senior Frontend Engineer - React/React Native (m/w/d)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our growing engineering  team working on building experiences to onboard, advise and guide customers, help them understand their insurance needs, understand and prevent their insurance risks and get personalized coverage they want. 

YOUR MISSION:

• You will work in a cross functional team closely with Product, Design and Data to build infrastructure, design and develop features creating customer touchpoints, advisory and consultation experiences in various phases of the user journey.
• Make our existing FE infrastructure scale better, including working on building out cross-platform and server-driven UI infrastructure.
• Work smarter, not harder. Build solutions that enable us to move faster as we scale and not build 1-offs
• Iterate quickly towards the best solutions for our customers and business while always keeping the big picture in mind and writing high quality, performant and tested code
• Improve our overall technical system and architecture to scale with our growing needs

ABOUT YOU:  

• 5+ years of frontend and JavaScript experience and understanding of JavaScript at a fundamental level, not just the framework you work in
• Ability to write structured and clean code that interacts with backend technologies, You ensure the code you write and features you build are performant and well tested
• 3+ years of hands-on React experience and a solid understanding of how it works.
  Experience with React Native and Next.js is a big plus, but it's NOT a requirement. You need to be interested in learning these technologies and excited to work on our mobile app
• You care deeply about user experience and always think about our customers first
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to self-organize your workday
• You can distil a complex problem into its essential elements and clearly communicate your technical vision to the team
• Responsibility for high-quality and reliable code along with knowledge of what to test and how to test it, not only in your squad but across squads as well
• Hands-on mentality paired with team spirit and willingness to learn
