Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for producing design assets for apparel style guides, from concept to final artwork. They work under general supervision to create unique and original artwork with a focus on the franchise and consumer, while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high quality standards. You will report to the Manager, Graphic Design. This is an onsite position based out of our Glendale office. Responsibilities/You Will: • Assist in the development of graphic design assets for style guides and portfolios primarily for Mickey & Friends but also supporting Pixar and Lucas properties. • Develop art styles/new techniques to coordinate with trends in the marketplace • Stay informed and understand marketplace trends and advancements in product development techniques to improve and refine designs. • Contribute trend boards and visual direction for new style guides. • Maintain high graphic design standards. • Understands graphic design and how it translates to apparel products. • Capable of presenting innovative concepts in both formal and informal environments. Basic Qualifications/You Have: • 2-5 years of related work experience in graphic design or merchandise design • Proficient in graphic design, knowledgeable in fashion and merchandise design, skilled in both traditional and digital drawing, and capable of conceptualizing ideas • Demonstrated experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote Preferred Qualifications: • Ability to illustrate and stylize characters • Proficient custom typography Education: • Bachelor’s degree in art, design and/or illustration, or equivalent experience Additional Information: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
