Job Description
We are looking for a Senior IT Project Engineer who is responsible for leading and managing complex IT infrastructure and system implementation projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT professional with experience in designing, deploying, and supporting advanced IT solutions for enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1 Project Management:
â—¦ Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
â—¦ Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
â—¦ Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
2 Technical Leadership:
â—¦ Design and implement advanced IT systems, including networks, servers, and cloud-based solutions.
â—¦ Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure optimization efforts.
â—¦ Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues.
3 Collaboration & Team Coordination:
â—¦ Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
â—¦ Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
â—¦ Facilitate effective communication across departments and stakeholders.
4 Documentation & Reporting:
â—¦ Maintain detailed project documentation, including system designs, configurations, and change management records.
â—¦ Prepare regular status updates and project reports for stakeholders and leadership.
5 Compliance & Best Practices:
â—¦ Ensure IT solutions adhere to security and compliance standards.
â—¦ Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
â—¦ 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, system engineering, or project management roles.
â—¦ Proven track record of leading successful IT projects.
• Technical Skills:
â—¦ Proficiency in system design, network architecture, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
â—¦ Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
â—¦ Expertise in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and enterprise tools (Active Directory, Exchange, etc.).
â—¦ Familiarity with ITIL practices and project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, PMP).
• Soft Skills:
â—¦ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
â—¦ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
â—¦ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools.
