Senior Java Developer

For our client from financial domain, we are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java development techniques and frameworks, specifically Java 8/11. Additionally, proficiency in Linux, SQL, and Spring Boot is required. As a Senior Developer in team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the Java-based service layer of the project.
This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Cracow and Wroclaw.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the service layer using Java 11 and Java 8
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and automation
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement high-quality code. Identify bottlenecks and bugs in applications, and devise solutions to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Conduct unit testing and code reviews for quality assurance. Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for the new and existing features
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill project requirements
• Working with a team in India location

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java 8/11 - 4+ years of hands-on design and development experience in several of the relevant technology areas (Java, Spring Boot, SQL, Postgres, Kafka, Azure, Kubernetesetc.)
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, SQL
• Solid understanding of Core Java concepts and design patterns
• Experience and expertise working in a microservices-based architecture
• Experience with Linux
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Agile, Test Driven Development, and DevOps practices part of your DNA
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, both to senior management and teams

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Maven
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
• Background in IB or Finance domain with good understanding of finance principles
